About CEO  

TSUKASA KAWAHARA, Co-president

Born in Kyoto in 1979. After he had approached Mac in 1996, he constructed several web sites. In 1999, he started his education in The University of Shiga Prefecture and majored in Environment and Architectural Design. He had been engaged in The Landscape Restoration Project of the Osawa Pond in Daikaku Temple, Village Research in Hikone city, Design of the Private Housing, and the Restoration Plan of Kyo Machiya (traditional wooden townhouses). He had been also engaged in the management of online shops as his own business. Since 2003, he has been researching with Takeo Matsuoka in The University of Shiga Prefecture, School of Environmental Science, Department of Environmental Policy and Planning. While taking his Masters Degree in 2005, he established Architect Taitan and became a co-president. In 2009, he was awarded his MA Degree in Environmental Science by The University of Shiga Prefecture, and the theme of his thesis was Research on the “Technical Methods of the Series of Townscape Planning” in Kado (Japanese Flower Arrangement) Sagago Style Keshiki Ike “Shichikei Sansho (a name of technical styles) Applied by Ecosystem”. In 2010, his article 'The Landscape Restoration Project of the Osawa Pond in Daikaku Temple' (in collaboration with several other authors) was awarded the Tourism Publication Award by Japan Institute of Tourism Research.

NAKAGAWA HARUO, Co-president

Born in Kyoto in 1979. He gained a degree in Environment and Architectural Design from The University of Shiga Prefecture, School of Environmental Science, Department of Environmental Policy and Planning. The theme of his final research in the university was 'What is happening now in Uji River in Fushimi' , and in his final project, he suggested museum and landscape as the construction plan in the riverside of Uji River. Since 2003, he has been researching with Takeo Matsuoka in The University of Shiga Prefecture, School of Environmental Science, Department of Environmental Policy and Planning, Environmental Designer Course, and engaging in the research of the architectural theory of W. M. Vories. In 2005, he established Architect Taitan and became a co-president. He is also a 2nd class authorized architect.
